Four concerts were announced by Missouri State Fair Director Mark Wolfe, completing the series of eight concerts for this year’s State Fair, to be held Aug. 8-18 in Sedalia. Added to the line-up will be the concerts Foreigner and Starship featuring Mickey Thomas Aug. 9, Chubby Checker Aug. 13, Lee Brice and Tyler Farr Aug.15, and rockers Three Days Grace and Hinder Aug. 17. Tickets will be available June 17 through Ticketmaster.com.

Today is Richard Sterban's Birthday. The name might not be recognizable to you, but I guarantee you that you have heard his voice...and remembered it. Richard is the bass vocalist for The Oak Ridge Boys, who are celebrating their 40th year of recording and touring and will appear at this year's Missouri State Fair. He's the infamous "Omm Pa Pa Mau Mau" in the hit "Elvira."

Missouri State Fair Commission to Decide Fate of Mango Jack's

After the completion of the Missouri State Fair, the Missouri State Fair Commission discussed the condition of Mango Jack's Building on the fairgrounds. The commission claims that the condition of the building warrants it to be torn down.

Mango Jack's owner Gary Everts says he received a note last month stating that he must vacate the building by October 15. Everts said that he feels that that Mango Jack's has become a key part of the nightlife at the Missouri State Fair and would like to present key points on how to keep and maintain Mango Jack's.
