Sedalia Kiwanis Feed Sedalia Minds and Hearts [INTERVIEW]
The Sedalia Kiwanis are always working to do everything they can for our kids and others in need. They're working to stay busy and get busier, recruiting volunteers and fundraising left and right. They're doing some great stuff coming up this weekend, and next weekend, to that purpose!
The Kiwanis hold some great fundraisers, and this weekend they're doing one at the Christ and Trinity Lutheran Church. It's going to be a big pancake breakfast on Saturday, Oct. 19 beginning at 7:00 a.m. But don't worry late risers, they'll keep serving until 1:00 p.m. They're going to have all sorts of good grub like fluffy pancakes, sausage, fruit and a drink of your choice. It's only for a cost of $5 for adults and $2 for children 6 and under. They're doing this to raise money for their food programs for kids as well as their BUG program, and for different ways to help elderly people in need.
That's not all they're up to, though. Here's my talk with Dave Kelley about what's coming up.
So make sure you attend the breakfast this weekend, and get your schedule cleared to attend the garage sale on Friday, Oct. 25 and Saturday, Oct. 26. That address again is 3253 Buckingham Drive: don't worry, it is a residence and the sale is in the driveway.
If you or someone you know would either like to contribute to the sale or join in on the Have Santa, Will Travel program, call Dave at 826-8218. You can stay posted here on our websites for updates from the Kiwanis as the Holiday Season approaches.
Fluffily yours,
Behka
