I don't know about you, but I love me some pork tenderloin.

I've had it all kinds of ways.  Fried, baked, smoked, barbecued, poached (that was not great).  There are all different kinds of things you can do with herbs and spices or marinades, and if you're going to be frying it, you can always put some nice seasonings in the batter.

For me, though, I have to leave it to the pros.  I don't know what it is, but I can never make a pork tenderloin anything but dry and tough.  I mean, the flavor is nice - I don't forget to season - but I just can't seem to get it just right.

Luckily, I don't have to!  The Sedalia Senior Center has got your hookup for some delicious pork tenderloin this weekend.  They're doing a big new fundraiser meal on Sunday the 19th from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.  They'll have it at the new Senior Center Dining Room at the Heckart.

As you know, the Senior Center offers a free meal to anybody 60 or over every weekday at noon.  For some people, it might be the only hot meal they get in a day. And this is huge, because since the Heckart has opened last year, they've DOUBLED the amount of meals they're serving every month.  And that adds up.  While they're doing fine supporting the older adults in Pettis County.... they could always use some extra help.

That's where you come in!  Stop by and get your grub on - you'll get a breaded tenderloin, mashed potatoes and gravy, green beans, and a dessert for only $15.  If you've got kids with you, don't worry.  They'll have some chicken nuggs for the little ones for only $7.00.

Sunday, February 19th, from 11:00 a.m.  to 1:00 p.m. at the Heckart Community Center Senior Center Dining Room, 1800 West 3rd Street.  If you have any questions you can always call them at 660-826-0713.

Tenderly yours,

Behka
