I Actually Saw Something Positive On Social Media For Once
I know, right?! Can you believe it? And it was something about Sedalia! Well, technically Pettis County, but it counts!
Okay, I know I'm exaggerating a bit, but it seems like a lot of times, we just tend to see more negative stuff on the internet. Now me, I'm a person who kind of shys away from it unless I have to use it for work. For the most part, if I end up looking at it, I find someone mad about some political issue, someone upset about a family member, or someone complaining about sports or the pandemic or their car or whatever. So I kind of end up avoiding it, and just watch my YouTube clips and giggle in peace.
But no, I went on the social media and found something genuinely, completely, and non cynically positive. Have a look!
While from his perspective, he's just crediting good work, I think it's a pretty nice thing to do. And he's right, they really have been working very hard lately. Sure, they do great work all the time, but you can really tell the mettle of people when they're tested. They've been through a lot in the last ten days, and the hard work is proving time and again how hard working and dedicated these people are. And look at the response! Over 600 likes, over a hundred comments, almost a hundred shares. And every comment that I read was either a thank you or a story about how the PCFD helped them in their lives.
I say, that's a great thing, to encourage each other and point out what's great. Some positivity! I could bathe in it!
So thanks, Pettis County Fire Department, Sedalia Fire Department, all the commenters, and Sheriff Anders. What a great way to start the weekend, right?
Positively yours,
Behka
