I know I've enjoyed driving through Sedalia and seeing some amusing signs from time to time outside of businesses. I remember seeing a young person ask someone to the prom on the Pizza Hut sign.  Mazzio's has had a couple of fun ones over the years, that I remember, anyway. And a few puns have come up on the Perkins sign.  They're all great, I always love seeing it.

Advanced Pet Care, I'm looking at you.  Never change.

Anyway, this clip I saw on the socials reminded me of something that COULD have happened, but didn't.  You remember the advice columnist for the Sedalia Democrat, Travis McMullen? He was my cousin.  He would always sit down with me at the Missouri State Fair or when we were at a family function, and almost always, our Feud would come up.  Travis wanted to start a "fake fight", and admittedly, it would have been hilarious.  Much like this fake fight that happened down in Marshfield!

Marshfield is a small town of about six thousand people.  It's part of Springfield, kind of like a suburb. It's the home town of Edwin Hubble.  You know, the guy the Hubble Telescope was named after.  They have a replica model of it on display.

Anyway, you get it.  They're obviously proud.    And Hilarious, apparently.

But then, that's kind of a Missouri trait, isn't it?  It's fitting that two businesses would want to stage a "fight" just to make everyone else in town laugh.  The way the other businesses jumped in, that tells me a good sense of humor is everywhere. I'm sure in a town that size, they all know each other anyway!

What was the last funny sign you saw from a business?

Laughingly yours,
Behka
