It's hard to believe after all the hype and buildup, 11 days of fun under the sun has drifted off into the sunset (or rain). What did you like most about this year's Missouri State Fair?

Kicking off the first day of the fair on August 9, it was the Come Home For Family Day. Opening day ceremony, specials and parade started off the festivities with Montgomery Gentry in concert at the Pepsi Grandstand.

Each day following offered different gate admission discounts. There was always something going on to entertain all ages. The kids had daily entertainment available at the Kid's Stage. The was free shows and exhibits throughout the fairgrounds.

The Budweiser Stage offered live entertainment in the afternoon, early evening and later in the night. Along with free live shows came the ever-popular Missouri State Fair Idol Contest.

Every kind of food you could imagine dotted the midway. Ice cream, funnel cakes, turkey legs, cotton candy and the list goes on and on.

Throw in national recording artists at the Pepsi Grandstand, rodeo & bull riding, motorsport events and free truck & tractor pulls at the State Fair Arena, and you find a recipe for success.

Mark Wolfe and everyone employed at the 2018 Missouri State Fair...thank you...thank you...thank you!!!

We look forward to the 2019 Missouri State Fair August 8-18.
