AUTHOR'S NOTE: The Warrensburg Police Department issues their reports to the press once weekly. These reports are for every incident submitted from July 1st through July 7th, 2024. The reports were submitted to KSIS on July 26th, 2024.


On 07/01/2024 at approximately 0018 hours, Officers responded to the 400 block of Franklin Street in regards to a female subject having suicidal ideation. She was transported to Western Missouri Medical Center.


 

On 07/01/24 at approximately 1418 hours, Officers were dispatched to the Warrensburg Police Department at 102-B South Holden Street in reference to theft that occurred in the past. Scout Schaberg reported the he had multiple items stolen from his unlocked vehicle in the 200 block of W Pine Street between the dates of 06/27/2024 to 06/28/2024. Investigation ongoing.


 

On 07/01/24 at 1834 hours, Matheu Gatiss reported a theft in the 300 block of East North Street. Gatiss stated a package that was delivered by UPS was stolen between 1322 and 1630 hours. Investigation ongoing.


 

On 07/01/2024 at 2321 hours, Officers conducted a traffic stop on a white Ford Focus at PCA Road and Fox Ridge Drive. Katoria Arshai Gitau, 34, of Warrensburg, was arrested for Driving While Suspended. She was transported to the Warrensburg Police Department, booked, and released with two citations for Improper Registration and Driving While Suspended.


 

On 07/02/2024 at 0006 hours, Officers conducted a vehicle and subject check on a white Pontiac Bonneville at 200 West Pine Street. Jamie Scott Whitlow, 40, of Warrensburg, was arrested on a Lee's Summit PD warrant on original charges of Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and transported to the Johnson County Jail in lieu of bond.


 

On 07/02/24 at 1034 hours, Officers conducted a traffic stop on a red Kia Forte in the 300 block of North College Street. Rigoberto Valencia Cruz, 41, of Warrensburg, was arrested for Driving Without a Valid License. He was transported to the Warrensburg Police Department, processed and released.


 

On 07/02/2024 at approximately 0742 Hours, Officers responded to a report of a missing person in the 400 Block of East Russell Avenue at the Super 8 Motel. Officers made contact with a male subject. He reported that a male subject had not been seen since Sunday afternoon. The male subject was last seen wearing a blue shirt, black shorts and white shoes.


 

07/02/24 at 1435 hours, Officers were dispatched to the Casey's General Store at 303 North Maguire Street in reference to theft past occurred. Nicholas Boston reported that a known male subject had stolen store funds between the dates of 06/09/24 and 06/30/24. Investigation ongoing.


 

On 07/02/2024 at 1507 Hours, Officers were dispatched to Rideview Drive and Hale Lake Road in reference to an agency assist for a known male subject with an active Warrensburg warrant. Officers arrested one male on an active warrant. Cody Anthony Wagner, 33, of Warrensburg, was transported to the Johnson County Jail. Wagner was booked in his warrant, which carried six counts of Animal Abuse and one count of Animal Neglect. Bond was set at $1,000 cash only.

On 7/2/24 at1757 hours, Officers took a report for a fraud that occurred in the 1200 Block of Hillmann Lane. A male subject reported that he lost $121,500.00 in a Crypto Currency Scam that occurred between 5/21/24 and 7/2/24.


 

On 07/03/2024 at approximately 0019 hours, Officers were dispatched to a theft report by phone, in reference to the 1100 block of North Simpson Street. Kaila Schaardt reported that her temporary tag had been stolen from her vehicle.


 

On 7/3/2024 at approximately 0817 hours, Officers were dispatched to Car Mart at 100 West Young Street. The Assistant Manager, Hailey Lochiano, reported that a vehicle on the lot had the back glass window shattered. Officers located the beige 2003 GMC Envoy that had the rear glass window shattered. It was estimated that the window would cost $400 to fix.


 

On 7/3/2024 at 1029 hours, Officers conducted a traffic stop on a black Chevrolet Cobalt in the 900 block of South Holden Street because it had no registration. The female driver provided valid proof of insurance, but her driving status was revoked. Brandi Rae Andrews, 37, of Warrensburg, was arrested and transported to the Warrensburg Police Department to be booked and released with a city citation for Driving While Revoked and was given a warning for the registration.


 

On 7/3/2024 at approximately 1226 hours, Officers were dispatched to the 100 block of East Market Street in reference to a warrant service. ESA provided Officers with a copy of the warrant. The warrant was confirmed and Tricia D. Gustin, 48, of Warrensburg, was arrested and transported to the Johnson County Jail. Gustin was booked in on her Failure to Comply warrant on felony charges of Stalking in the 1st Degree with no bond.


 

On 7/3/24 at approximately 2019 hours, Officers were dispatched to the Western Missouri Medical Center in reference to a dog bite that occurred at 0300 hours in the 600 block of West Gay Street. The female sustained minor injuries to her wrist.


 

On 7/3/2024 at 2035 hours, Officers responded to the 400 block of East Russell Avenue for a disturbance. A female subject assaulted a male subject. The female subject reported she was sexually assaulted by the male subject sometime between 1700 hours and the time of call. Gabriel Arthur LaClair, 43, of Warrensburg, was arrested on charges of Assault in the 3rd Degree, Rape in the 2nd Degree, Assault in the 4th Degree, and a Pettis County warrant on charges of Trespassing in the 1st Degree. The investigation is ongoing.


 

On 7/4/2024 at approximately 1743 hours, Officers were dispatched to a domestic disturbance in the 400 block of North Ridgeview Drive. A female subject reported that a known male subject assaulted her. Jared Jon Storms, 42, of Warrensburg, was arrested for Domestic Assault. He then refused to get into a police car, and was also charged with Failure to Obey an Officer. Storms was transported to the Warrensburg Police Department. During the booking process, he refused to give fingerprints, and was charged with Obstructing Process. After the booking process, Storms littered by tossing his citations, and was also charged with Littering. Storms was processed and released.


 

On 7/4/2024 at approximately 2314 hours, Officers were dispatched to 54 Hawthorne Hill Drive in reference to a report of leaving the scene of an accident. Taigan Plummer reported that a yellow Utility-Terrain Vehicle crashed into the front of her residence, causing damage, at approximately 2257 hours.


 

At 0348 hours on 7/1/2024, Melancholy Quiet reported a noise complaint in the area of the 400 block of West Pine Street. A male subject was found in the park intoxicated and trespassing. It was discovered he gave Officers a false name, and he was placed under arrest for Obstruction. A few days later, Officers responded to the 400 block of Ming Street for a check the well being of an intoxicated male subject. The male subject assaulted an officer. Michael Mesin, 34, of Warrensburg, was arrested for a charge of Failure to Obey (Resisting Arrest) and Assault On a Law Enforcement Officer. He was transported to WMMC and released to medical staff.


 

On 7/5/24 at approximately 0124 hours, Officers responded to 80 SW 75 Road in reference to an agency assist with Johnson County Sheriff's Office for a suicidal male subject. He was taken into custody and transported to Western Missouri Medical Center for evaluation.


 

On 07/05/2024 at approximately 0939 hours, Officers were dispatched to Walmart at 301 East Cooper Boulevard for a report of Trespassing in progress. A male and female subject had been trespassed in the past were located on the premises. Alexis Noel Allen, 23, and Jordan Washington, 28, both of Warrensburg, were issued a summons each for Trespassing and released on scene.


 

7/5/2024 at 1157 hours, Officers spoke with Harold Hoff at the police station about a fraud report. Hoff reported a known male subject attempted to cash a $275 check at 301 East Cooper Blvd, Academy Bank, that he did not authorize. The check was not cashed by the bank. The incident occurred on 7/2/2024 at approximately 1630 hours.


 

On 07/05/2024 at approximately 1042 Hours, Officers were dispatched to the Warrensburg Police Department at 102-B S Holden Street. Jessica D. Huskey, 43, of Warrensburg, turned herself in on a outstanding Failure to Appear warrant on original charges of Driving While Intoxicated. The warrant was confirmed, she was arrested and transported to the Johnson County Jail.


 

On 7/5/24 at around 1000 hours, Officers were dispatched to Walmart at 301 East Cooper Boulevard. Shelbie Stafford reported a known male subject shoplifted several items on 7/3/24 at 0920 hours. Timothy Scott Fike, 37, of Warrensburg, was arrested on a charge of Shoplifting. Fike was then processed and was released from the Warrensburg Police Department.


 

On 7/5/24 at around 1500 hours, Officers took a report of trespassing that had occurred at Walmart, 301 East Cooper Boulevard on 6/23/24 at around 1600 hours.


 

On 07/05/2024 at approximately 1830 Hours, Officers responded to Walmart at 301 East Cooper Boulevard to a report of a shoplifter. Officers arrived and one male subject ran on foot to the east of the business. Officers were able to catch the male and apprehend him on one count of Stealing and one count of Resisting Arrest. Timothy Michael Price, 44, of Warrensburg, was arrested and transported to the Warrensburg Police Department. He was then transported to the Johnson County Jail for multiple warrants out of other jurisdictions, including an KC Southern Police Department Failure to Appear warrant on original charges of Trespassing in the 1st Degree and a Johnson County Kansas FTA warrant on original charges of Possession of Narcotic Equipment.


 

On 07/05/2024 at 2137 hours, Officers were dispatched to Walmart at 301 East Cooper Boulevard for a reported shoplifting. Jose Angel Valera 33, and Carment Bolivar Corrales, 33, were both arrested and issued citations on scene for Stealing.


 

On 7/5/24 at approximately 2144 hours, I was dispatched to the 400 block of Benjamin Drive for a report of a known male subject trespassing. Upon arrival, Santiago Matheus, 53, of Warrensburg, was arrested for Trespassing and Property Damage. He was transported to the Police Department, processed and released. The next day, Officers were dispatched to a report of trespassing in progress, located at the same address on Benjamin Drive. Officers arrived and made contact again with Matheus, who appeared to be heavily intoxicated. Officers placed Matheus under arrest for Trespassing. While Officers attempted to place him in custody, he assaulted an Officer on multiple occasions. Matheus was transported to the Johnson County Jail and booked in on additional charges of Assault on a Law Enforcement Officer.


 

On 07/06/2024 at 0449 hours, Officers were dispatched to a weapons call at Cave Hollow, 1001 W Gay Street. A male subject reported that a known juvenile pointed a firearm at him and four other known subjects. Everyone fled prior to Officer arrival. This report was forwarded to the Juvenile Office.


 

On 07/06/2024 at approximately 0856 hours, Officers made contact with a female subject at 2 SE 135 Road in regards to an active Warrensburg Warrant. The Failure to Appear warrant on original charges of Trespassing in the 1st Degree was confirmed and the female subject was arrested. Crystal Sue Trammel, 40, of Warrensburg was transported to the Warrensburg Police Department, processed, posted bond and was released with a new court date.


 

On 7/6/2024 at 1311 hours, Officer's responded to 109 Commercial St #310 in reference to a theft from motor vehicle report. Nicholas Haggerty reported that between 7/5/2024 at 1700 hours and 7/6/2024 at 1300 hours, United States Air Force property was stolen from his vehicle. Investigation ongoing.


 

On 07/07/2024 at approximately 0809 hours, Officers responded to the Henry County Jail in regards to a known female subject that was unable to post bond on a Warrensburg Municipal Warrant for Failure to Appear on original charges of Driving While Revoked. Christian Dawn Stoneking, 31, of Clinton, was transported to the Johnson County Jail.


 

On 7/7/2024 at 1358 hours, Officers responded to the 800 block of Broad Street in reference to a domestic assault. A female subject reported being assaulted by a male subject known to her. Tyson Javier Franklin, 20, of Warrensburg, was arrested for municipal Domestic Assault. He was transported to the Warrensburg Police Department, processed and released.


 

On 07/07/2024 at approximately 1836 hours, Officers were dispatched to a theft at Discount Smokes, 501 North Maguire Street. An unknown male subject stole two bottles of alcohol. The business declined to press charges.


 

On 07/07/2024 at 2107 hours, WFD requested emergency assistance from WPD in reference to an illegal burn at 405 Blake Anthony Street. A WFD Firefighter reported a that a known male subject sprayed him in the face with a garden hose. Dale Patrick Martin, 55, of Warrensburg, was arrested for Assault and Obstruction by Failing to Identify. He was transported to the Warrensburg Police Department, processed and released.
