If you're still on the fence on deciding where to go and what to do on Independence Day, the City of Warrensburg may have the answer.

You can kick off your 4th of July celebrations with Warrensburg Parks & Rec (WPR) in the Freedom Fest 5K run/Walk. The fun-for-all-ages family 5K starts/stops at 8am at the historic train depot in downtown Warrensburg. Register online at Warrensburg-mo.com or call 660-747-7178. Kids 5 & under are free, strollers and dogs welcome!

Then starting at 9:30am, it's the Patriotic Children’s Parade at the downtown Johnson County Courthouse, sponsored by Parks & Rec and Warrensburg Main Street.

4th of July celebrations continue with the Star Spangled Swim at Nassif Aquatic Center from 1-5 pm with ½-price admission, FREE for Nassif Season Pass Holders! This patriotic pool party will be celebrated with music and fun for a splashing good time!

Wind down the day at the annual Freedom Fest Spectacular at Grover Park, sponsored by Grover Park Baptist Church, American Legion Post 131 and Parks & Rec, with free hot dogs, bounce houses and games starting at 6:30pm, the Warrensburg Community Band performing at 7:30pm and fireworks at dusk! Bring your lawn chairs and enjoy the festivities!
