Let’s be honest: if you’ve been craving that big screen magic lately, it’s been a rough couple of months. Your options? Either shell out half your paycheck for a TV the size of a small garage, or road-trip your way to a drive-in that’s juuust far enough to make you question your life choices.

But good news, movie lovers—Sedalia Parks and Recreation has your back!
They’re bringing the theater to you with Outdoor Movie Night, happening on Friday, July 25th at Liberty Park.

What’s showing? Only the animated classic “A Goofy Movie”—aka the movie that shaped the childhoods of an entire generation, gave us iconic dad-son bonding energy, and blessed us with Powerline’s smooth vocals.

Start time is 8:30 PM CDT, which is just late enough to feel like an adventure but early enough to get the kids to bed before full meltdown mode.

The movie’s rated PG, which means most parents will find it totally fine for older kids and tweens.... plus, it’s goofy in all the best ways (literally).

Admission is free, so bring a blanket, some lawn chairs, and your best sing-along voice. Popcorn and movie snacks will be available for purchase, because what’s a movie night without snacks? (Just sad sitting in the dark, really.)

Liberty Park is at 1500 West 3rd Street in Sedalia, and the movie runs about one hour and forty minutes—which is just long enough to enjoy, but short enough that nobody has to pretend they “totally weren’t falling asleep.”

LOOK: 35 Vintage Cereals That Perfectly Captured Pop Culture Moments

Movies and TV shows have always found ways to partner with cereal companies as part of their promotion strategy. While some may have come up with a giveaway in boxes, others went big by having their own cereal connected to the movie or TV show title. Here are vintage cereals that were used to promote some of pop culture's biggest moments (and some you probably forgot about).
