A Taste of Winter Weather on the Way
I guess we better relish these nice days that we're experiencing because it looks like more "winter-like" weather is on the way.
A winter storm is becoming more likely this weekend with periods of rain during the day Friday transitioning to freezing rain and eventually snow. This transition will occur as colder air moves south and undercuts warmer air aloft, giving the region the likelihood for a period of freezing rain, before the cold air deepens and transitions precipitation to all snow Saturday morning. Ice and snow accumulations are expected with the heaviest ice accumulations coming Friday evening and overnight and the heaviest snow accumulations during the day Saturday.
