You May Want to Start Looking for That Heavy Coat & A Snow Shovel
Just when you thought we might cruise through the month of December with very little snowfall, Old Man Winter sends us a telegram saying we might want to be prepared for the tail end of the upcoming weekend.
Quiet weather continues today and tomorrow for the Sedalia/Warrensburg area, then the cold returns for Saturday through the weekend. Next chance for snow continues to be Sunday into Monday.
According to the National Weather Service in Pleasant Hill:
- Quiet weather will continue through Saturday, with mild temperatures Friday and Saturday.
- Winter weather arrives Sunday, with increasing snow chances through the day and overnight into Monday.
- Accumulating snow is looking like a greater probability across portions of the region Sunday night through Monday morning.
- A stark gradient between snow and no snow may develop as well, where that will be is yet to be determined.
Confidence in snow occuring is good, but with it being five days out, exactly where and how much remains the challenge.
