On Monday, July 1 at 6 a.m. and continuing through Tuesday, July 2 at 6 a.m., Winchester Drive will be closed from just south of the Walmart truck entrance to just north of the W. 12th Street intersection while Street Department crews complete installation of road base on this section of the roadway, the City of Sedalia said late Thursday.

The W. 12th Street intersection will remain open on Monday, July 1. Drivers will need to plan a different route to avoid delays from this roadwork.

Beginning on Tuesday, July 2 at 6 a.m. and continuing through Thursday, July 4 at 8 a.m., Winchester Drive will be closed from just south of the Walmart truck entrance to the W. 16th St. roundabout.

The W. 10th St. and the W. 12th St. intersections will be closed during this period. Drivers will need to plan different routes and avoid this area to ensure they arrive at their destinations on time and to assist in keeping congestion to a minimum so these roadway improvements can be made safely.

Winchester Drive from W. Broadway Ave. (U.S. Highway 50) to the Walmart truck entrance south of the store is complete and will remain open during this period.

Street Department crews will be working to complete the reclamation project during the coming week (July 1 through July 4, 2019) and further road closures are not anticipated for the Winchester Drive project.
