Mother Nature is definitely reminding us the one prediction you can make is that the weather is so unpredictable.

Heavy rain, gusty winds, and even tornadoes have turned up across the midwest. So here's what you can expect according to the National Weather Service.

Active weather continues today with the potential for severe weather and flash flooding. The strongest storms are expected during the daylight hours, especially along a line of storms. Large hail to quarter-size, damaging wind gusts, and isolated tornadoes are possible. With the already saturated grounds, flash flooding will be possible in the strongest activity.

Check the weather forecast before you head out on a trip today. It's always a good measure to know what weather is predicted as you drive to your destination.

Makes sure you have a good set of windshield wipers, and that your tires are in good condition.

A reminder to turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles.
