The National Weather Service says we can expect showers and thunderstorms tonight and overnight, some which might linger into tomorrow morning. Then we can expect more of the same tomorrow afternoon. Along with the rain, thunder, and lightening, wind gusts 30-40mph are expected.

The best chance for severe storms happens tomorrow from late morning through the afternoon hours. They're advising folks to protect property from large hail, secure items that could be damaged or blown around by thunderstorm winds, and have a reliable way or two to receive severe weather warnings.

All this rain can also cause flash flooding, worseon ongoing river flooding or cause new river flooding. Looking at the weather app on my phone their predicting storms for the weekend, a break on Memorial Day, and more rain Tuesday and Wednesday of next week. Keeping a rain jacket and umbrella handy over the next week might not be a bad idea.
