I don't know if you remember this, but it was something from the eighties, I think.  My memories are kind of fuzzy if I'm being honest.  Neurological diseases for ya.  But last night I had a dream that was very vivid, and if it wasn't a memory, it was definitely a sequel or something to one.

Along Broadway, behind where the Shell is now, and right next to where the Sprint is now, there used to be a little strip mall with a pizza place in it called the Cheeseboard.  If I remember rightly, they specialized in crispy thin crust pizza, but I might be wrong. Anyway, I had a dream about it last night.

In the dream, it was one of those where you kind of knew it was a dream, but part of it was so real it felt like you had woken up.  I was small, so it had to have been the eighties in my dream.  But of course I had my adult mind, and my adult mind was trying to run the place like the owner.  My kid body was scolding an employee for something, and  the employee was not listening to me, because,... well, I looked like a kid.  But I still had my adult brain, and I was telling them something important that they should have been listening to.

I woke up and thought, "Why of all places the Cheeseboard? That place has been gone for decades.." I'm not sure!  Maybe part of me wants the Cheeseboard back?  I think we've all had those moments, where you wish an old event or restaurant or business was back again for you to enjoy.

What old events, restaurants, businesses would you want back in Sedalia?

Dreamily yours,

Behka
