Uninvited Intoxicated Visitor Arrested at Bothwell Hotel

On Sunday night, the Hotel Bothwell, 103 East 4th Street, reported that an intoxicated subject came into their lobby and was sleeping on the floor.

Contact was made and a computer check revealed the subject was wanted on a Pettis County Failure to Appear warrant on original charges of Failure To Comply With Halloween-Related Restrictions For Sex Offenders with a $2500 cash or surety bond.

54-year-old Jesse R. Smith, of Sedalia, was taken to a hospital for a fit for confinement check due to intoxication.

Smith was then taken to the Pettis County Jail, where he was booked on the warrant and a 12-hour protective custody hold.
