Twinkies Set to Make A Comeback on July 15
Just in time for the Summer, Twinkies will make a return to store shelves according the the Hostess website.
Hostess, which went bankrupt in 2012 and is under new management, is touting the return on July 15 as "the sweetest comeback in the history of ever." Fans let their voices be heard by starting online campaigns and even Facebook fan pages to bring the Twinkie back. Fans of the Twinkie were devastated when they shut down the operation last year, some people even spent upwards to $200 for a box on Ebay. Others, like Doug tried to find an alternative solution to some off brand Twinkie replicas.
Rich Seban, president of Hostess, told the Associated Press that prices for the cakes will remain the same: A box of 10 Twinkies will cost $3.99. He also said that the new Hostess company will invest in new products, something the old company was criticized for not doing.
I don't know about you, but I'm ready for a fried Twinkie at the Missouri State Fair!
