The Johnson County Survival Adult Abuse Center's Fifth annual "Girls' Night Out" fundraiser will be held from 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday Feb. 25, in the Elliot Union Ballroom at the University of Central Missouri. This is a nonprofit I have volunteered with for a few years now. I have watched this fundraiser grow from the basement for Players Restaurant and Lounge to vendors taking over the student union on campus. It is always fun to be part of this great fundraiser while giving back my community. Specifically, those who need our help for simple things we take for granted like shelter, advice, food, and most importantly, safety.

I hope to see you there!
