Townsquare Media's 7th fundraiser for the Show Me Honor Flight raised $19,000, making it our most successful fundraiser to date.

Twenty-five area Casey's locations and Freddy's Frozen Custard stores in Sedalia and Jefferson City collected funds throughout the month of November.  WK Chevy, Bryant Motors and several other local businesses and individuals helped make the Show Me Honor Flight fundraiser the success it was.

Show Me Honor Flight is an organization whose original intent was to provide free transportation to Washington, D.C. for veterans, giving an opportunity for area World War II vets to visit their memorial, Arlington Cemetery and other points of interest. The group is now transporting World War II, Korean War and Vietnam War veterans to Washington to visit their respective memorials.

These veterans are afforded the opportunity to travel with other vets and experience a day they will always remember, thanks to the generosity of area businesses and individuals. Almost 400 area vets have visited Washington via the Show Me Honor Flight, and the next flight is being prepared for late spring of 2013.

Honor Flight applications for veterans of these wars may be picked up at the our station at 2209 S. Limit, Sedalia, Mo. 65301.  For more information, contact the following:
