La Monte R-IV Schools are honoring Veterans with a school assembly on Friday, November 8 and the community is invited.

The Turman Memorial Veterans' Hospital and Columbia Vet Center are providing a variety of services, including VA health care enrollment, and a variety of counseling service through their Mobile Vet Center in Sedalia.

The Missouri State Fair is accepting nominations for their Veteran/Active Military Honoree of the Day for the 2024 Fair. Nomination forms are on the Fair's website.

I am not one who is prone to follow fads. As a matter of fact, it takes a lot for me to do what other people do. This suggestion about Missouri porch lights is an exception. There's a good reason why many are changing their porch lights to green and I believe that is a great idea. I also believe they should stay green, too.
