It comes once a year, and so many kids have such a great time! Yes, it's time again for the Sedalia Kiwanis Kids Day In the Park. Here's basically what goes down: the Kiwanis club cooks up hot dogs, the kids play games, and the train runs in Liberty Park. It's just a great day for the kids to get together, have lunch, ride the train, and get some goodies.

And the best part is, it's free!

Yep, the kids get a grab bag of toys, a hot dog, chips,  and a drink (don't worry parents, nothing sugary - they'll get water bottles), and it's all on the Kiwanis Club. Kiwanis just wants to get everyone together to have a blast!

Now what kind of games are we talking about here? All sorts of 'em! Basically it's a good old fashioned time to get them away from a screen and play together. And it's super simple stuff, so the little ones won't get frustrated that there are too many "Big Kid" games.  And since the train is back up and running, if anybody gets a little antsy, a quick run across the park will be a quick way to burn off some energy to get to the train.

So make sure to head on down to Liberty Park on September 18th from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. for lots of free, family fun. You'll see the signs, it'll be easy. And, you can find out more about what Kiwanis does to help kids right here in our area.  You might even be inspired to join in and do what you can! Give the kiddos a little something fun to do to help them get over the grief of being back at school!

Gamely yours,
Behka
