Early Sunday morning, Officers were dispatched to the area of South Moniteau Avenue and West 16th Street to assist with a traffic stop. During the course of the investigation, it was determined the driver was intoxicated. The suspect was transported to the Sedalia Police Department, where he provided a breath sample that showed his Blood Alcohol Concentration was above the legal limit of 0.08. Jose Leon Gonzalez, 39, of Sedalia, was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated. Gonzalez was issued a Uniform Traffic Ticket for Driving While Intoxicated and released to a sober driver.


 

On the evening of September 28th, Sedalia Police conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle with improper registration plates. The stop took place in the area of South Harrison Avenue and West 18th Street. During the course of the investigation, it was discovered the driver had a revoked driving status. His status had been revoked for several years, with several previous convictions for the same. The driver was arrested, and the license plates were seized. Charles Shane Spellmeyer, 54, of Green Ridge, was arrested on a charge of felony Driving While Revoked. Spellmeyer was then booked and released.

Monday night, Officers were dispatched to the area of East 10th Street and South Marvin Avenue in reference to a hit and run accident. One of the subjects involved had fled on foot. Officers later located the subject on South Montgomery Avenue near East 14th Street. He was then detained, and during the course of the investigation it was determined he was intoxicated. The subject was arrested and transported to the Sedalia Police Department. There, he provided a breath sample on the DataMaster Transportable that showed his Blood Alcohol Concentration was reading above 0.08. The subject was then transported to the Pettis County Jail. While at the jail, staff performed a search of his property. A bag of methamphetamine was located in his wallet. Julio Chub Che, 31, of Sedalia, was booked in on a charge of Possession of a Controlled Substance, Leaving the Scene of a Motor Vehicle Accident, and Driving While Intoxicated (Alcohol). A bond amount for Che was listed as ‘to be determined’ in the report.
