Sedalia Parks and Recreation has announced its annual Fourth of July celebration, and there's something fun for everyone.

This year the Fourth of July falls on a Tuesday, and whether or not you're going to stretch the Fourth into a five-day weekend, or you'll pop in and pretend to work on Monday, you'll want to have some fun with Sedalia Parks and Recreation.

The Fourth of July parade will kick off downtown at 10:00 AM CDT. This year's theme is "National Treasure". If you'd like to enter a float in the parade you can do that for free by contacting  Sedalia Parks and Recreation.

There will be a free picnic at Centennial Park between 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM CDT and half-price swimming at Centennial Pool between 11:00 AM - 5:00 PM. Active military and veterans can swim for free.

Finally, a fireworks show will be held at the Missouri State Fairgrounds at 9:30 PM CDT to cap off your Fourth of July celebration.

You can check out the flyer from Sedalia Parks and Recreation on their Facebook page.
