Tom Watson
Not only is one of golf's all-time greatest players from Kansas City, he still makes his home on a farm in the area. Watson won 39 times on the PGA Tour, including eight major championships. On the Senior Tour, Watson has won 13 times, including five majors.
Robert Altman
The director of M*A*S*H was originally from Kansas City. One of his films was even called Kansas Ctiy. It competed at the Cannes Film Festival in 1996. Altman was given a lifetime achievement Oscar at the 2005 Academy Awards.
Dee Wallace
I love scary movies. Dee Wallace was in a few of the movies that scared me the most when I was a kid, like Cujo. Other film credits include E.T. and The Howling. Wallace was born in Kansas City and attended Wyandotte High School. She went the University of Kansas, and was even a teacher near the Kansas City area before beginning her acting career.
