A Missouri McDonalds And Dairy Queen Are In A Brutal Sign Roast. Who Won?

We happen to have a McDonalds and a Dairy Queen that are not that far from one another here in Sedalia.  Both located on Limit Ave.  I pass them every day on my way to work.  You wouldn't think there would be a feud between the companies.  Each one has their own place in the restaurant community.  Unless you are talking about ice cream.

A McDonald's in Marshfield, Missouri started the battle simply asking, "Hey DQ! Do you wanna have a sign war?" The nearby Dairy Queen accepted the challenge, writing in response, "We would but we're 2 busy making ice cream." The McDonald's responded, "That's cute our ice cream makes it self."

Well this back and forth has gone viral and several other businesses have gotten involved with the sign battle.  At the root of this sign battle, it seems to be that the McDonalds McFlurry machines seem to break down often.  It doesn't appear to have anything to do with the taste of either one.  Personally, I prefer a Dairy Queen Blizzard over a McFlurry, but you may feel differently.

This sign battle has gotten other businesses in town to share their thoughts.

I am not going to lie, this is amusing.  I do wonder how it will translate into sales for the restaurants.

For the record, Marshfield Missouri is about 2 hours from Sedalia Missouri if you want to take a road trip to see these signs up close and talk with any of the staff at these places and see what people are saying.
