Winter Weather is overspreading the area this morning. Areas will see snow this morning transition to freezing rain and sleet throughout the morning hours. As we move through the afternoon and evening freezing rain and sleet will transition to rain as temperatures move above freezing. Areas north of Interstate 70 will see 1-3 inches of snow with areas south seeing little snow and greater ice accumulations of a tenth to a quarter of an inch.

Friday

Snow, freezing rain, and sleet before 1pm, then freezing rain, possibly mixed with sleet between 1pm and 2pm, then freezing rain after 2pm. High near 34. South southeast wind 13 to 17 mph, with gusts as high as 26 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100%. New ice accumulation of 0.2 to 0.4 of an inch possible. New snow and sleet accumulation of less than one inch possible.

Friday Night

Rain, mainly before midnight. Low around 31. South southeast wind 14 to 18 mph becoming west after midnight. Winds could gust as high as 28 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80%. New precipitation amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible.

Saturday

Mostly cloudy, then gradually becoming sunny, with a temperature falling to around 29 by 9am. West northwest wind 13 to 18 mph, with gusts as high as 31 mph.
