Guys, I don't know about you, but when it got to Back To School time, it was always "clean out the closet time" at my house.

It makes sense, if you take a second to think about it.  Basically every year you're having to go and buy school supplies and newer clothes because you outgrew the old ones.   During college, I'd take the time to make sure all my clothes were intact.  You know, you don't want to accidentally wear a shirt with a hole in it that...wasn't there on purpose.  So of course, since you're getting new stuff, it's probably time to make room for all that by getting rid of the older stuff.

Well, not as a kid.  Mom didn't want us to throw away any old clothes, of course not.  There might be someone in the family who might need that.  Someone might want to use that as fabric for a project. Or a cousin who could wear that.   And now, I get it.  Now it makes sense to make sure to pass along clothing to others who might need it.

Sorry, I was just looking for an excuse to use that gif. You can give me that, right?  Keep in mind, I have NOT made one single joke or reference to New Jeans. So you and I are both making sacrifices here, gentle reader. MOVING ON, TIME TO GET SERIOUS.

Which brings me to something YOU can do if you feel so inclined! Running now through the end of the month, Maurice's stores are doing a Denim Drive. This initiative invites customers to bring in any gently used jeans (regardless of brand, so you don't have to have bought them there) to one of Maurice's locations. In return, participants will receive $10 off a new pair of regularly priced jeans. The certificate is good til September 15th, so you don't have to use it the same day you donate. And, you can use them online, if you'd rather. Remember, the offer is one per customer/daily, NOT one per pair of jeans donated. So if you bring in a couple of pairs at a time, you just get one certificate.

But, I guess also nothing is stopping you from donating a pair every few days or something. You just have to use the certificates in time, I guess. All Maurice's locations are pitching in, with donations going directly to support local communities. It’s a win-win: refresh your wardrobe while making a positive impact! If you need more information, you can always contact the local Maurice's store, and they'll be happy to tell you. They're hoping to donate 100 pairs by the end of the month!

Denimly yours,
Behka
