Would you try Oscar Mayer's Ice Dog Sandwich? When I first saw this circulating around the internet this morning I though no way. Blech. Not in a million years. My next thought was, is this a joke? Then as I paid a little bit attention to what the Ice Dog sandwich is, I started talking myself into trying it.

I started rationalizing it when I was reading the article on takeout.com and looked at what makes up an Ice Dog from Oscar Mayer's graphic they tweeted out.

Candied hot dog bits, hot dog sweet cream, a cookie bun. All sound pretty good to me, especially the candied hot dog bits and sweet cream. The only thing I'm not 100% sure of is the spicy dijon gelato. I think that could go either way.

They've actually re-dressed one of their Wienermobile's as an ice dog and it'll be tooling around New York City giving away their Ice Dog sandwich. I sent Oscar Mayer a direct message asking how we can try some of these at the radio station, and I'm still waiting to hear back. I suspect I won't.

I think they need to re-dress another Wienermobile and head towards Missouri. The state fair starts Thursday. And the Ice Dog fits the bill nicely for that one of a kind treat you can only find at a place like a state fair.

So if you could get your hand on an Ice Dog sandwich, would you try it?
