Who Says There’s Nothing Going On in Sedalia? Check This Out!
So many times most of the citizens of Sedalia and the surrounding area don't think there's much going on around the area. Well, one location is seeing event after event...that's the Missouri State Fairgrounds.
If you go to the website mostatefairgrounds.com and click on the "Year Round Event Calendar", you can see what all is happening on the fairgrounds.
There's plenty of events going on in the month of April. This weekend the Home and Garden Show will be at the Matthewson Exhibition Center on Saturday, April 10. At the Coliseum and MFA Youth Arena, the Golden Circle Horse Show Circuit will be going on the same day.
Next weekend will be the National Wild Turkey Federation – Business Meeting and Fundraiser, April 17. The same day will feature the Missouri Club Calf – Battle of the Breeds in the Coliseum. Another event that's taking placing all day long on the 17th is the Missouri State Poultry Association – Spring Poultry Show. This show will be in the Rabbit/Poultry Building.
April 20-24 in the MO-Ag Theater is the Kids Closet Connection Spring Sale
The weekend of the 23-24 finds the Missouri Baptist Convention – RA Congress. This two-day event will be held in the Agriculture Building, Varied Industries, Sheep Pavilion, Dorms, and Media Lot. There's even more going the same weekend with the following:

Although the majority of us can't be in attendance to this event, the Missouri State FFA Convention is going on at the James L. Matthewson Exhibition Center April 30-May 1st. So be ready for a swarm of blue coats invading the State Fair City. Also April 29- May 2 is the Blacksmith Association of Missouri in the Swine Pavillion.
A reminder that the Street Food Throwdown will be taking place on Wednesdays in April at the main gate.
