Today is Cinco de Mayo, which is the celebration of Mexico's victory over the French in the Battle of Puebla.

Most people think this is the day that Mexico won it's independence and it's the equivalent of Fourth of July in the United States. However, while Cinco De Mayo was a big victory, it is not the day of Mexico's independence, which is actually September 16, in case you're curious. It seems this holiday is more celebrated in the United States, than in Mexico.

It seems people want a reason to party, eat and drink, and today is just as good as any other. I decided to celebrate by having a tasty Taco Bell meal. I wish I could have had a tasty margarita with it, but the Dr. Pepper hit the spot for lunch.

I got to thinking as I sat in the Taco Bell: which Mexican restaurant is your favorite around here?
