The 2019 Walk to End Alzheimer's is set for Saturday September 14 at Centennial Park. You can be one of the people to lead the way to Alzheimer's first survivor by walking and donating in this year's walk.

Registration will be open at the walk Saturday morning at 8:00AM CDT or you can enter now here. There's a variety of ways you can walk. You can grab your friends and start a team. You can join a team one of your friend's started. Or you can join an already established team. You can even donate and not walk if you want. Good for those that are more interested in starting Saturday morning in their jammies with a hot cup of coffee.

The Walk to End Alzheimer's began in 1989 as the Alzheimer's Asscoiation Memory Walk with nine chapters. That year they raised $149,000. Last year the Walk to End Alzheimer's held 600 walks and raised over $90 Million Dollars.

Money raised by The Walk to End Alzheimer's is used in the following ways by the Alzheimer's Association:

  • Providing care and support to those facing the disease through a variety of ways.
  • Drives research toward treatment, prevention and, ultimately, a cure.
  • Speaks up for the needs and rights of people affected by Alzheimer's.
