Alzheimer's Association

The 2019 Walk to End Alzheimer's is set for Saturday September 14 at Centennial Park.

The Alzheimer’s Association Greater Missouri Chapter announced that the Roast of Dave Griggs presented by KOMU 8 raised over $55,000. The event was held Thursday, May 29, at the Holiday Inn Executive Center in Columbia.

Here in our town, there's an often forgotten group of people who are giving their all each and every day for people they love.  The caregivers are the people who are standing strong every day to get things done and help the people who need the kind of help only a trusted companion can give.  Whether it's a relative, a friend, or an acquaintance, caregivers are important.

This might be one of those "personal" type blog posts here. I'm not saying that what I write in other times isn't so important, but this blog post is about something I hope everyone that needs it will read it. I think we all know who we are.
