A 42-year old man from Macon, MO was recently arrested for manufacturing meth after a vehicle and foot pursuit in Moniteau County.

On Sunday (May 27), Moniteau County deputies attempted to stop a vehicle on Highway 50 for a moving violation just west of California, MO. The vehicle accelerated and refused to stop. Deputies continued to pursue the vehicle heading south of Highway 87.

The vehicle then continued to flee into a field south of Burgers Smokehouse. Moniteau deputies located the vehicle a short time later parked in the wood line.

Deputies towed the vehicle and continued to search for the suspect in the area, who was spotted a short time later walking in California, MO. The suspect, 42-year old Travis Rowe, of Macon, fled on foot but was eventually taken into custody.

Rowe also had an outstanding Macon County warrant for manufacturing methamphetamine.

Rowe was taken to the Moniteau County Jail, with a bond of $50,000. Further charges are pending related to the vehicle pursuit and resisting arrest.
