Two Warrensburg Students Attend National 4-H Congress
Two students from Warrensburg recently attended the National 4-H Congress in Atlanta, Georgia.
The 4-H Center for Youth Development says Brianna Munsterman and Rebekah Papasifakis, of Warrensburg, were among nearly 900 youth delegates nationally to attend National 4-H Congress, which was held November 29 - December 3.
National 4-H says the experience allows members to learn new skills through workshops, hear from nationally recognized leaders in the industry and experience Southern culture.
The selection for the trip combines scores from a written recognition form and interview. Attendance at the Congress is often the culminating event for many 4-H'ers and considered a highly sought after award. Only twenty members from Missouri were selected to attend this year.
During the event, students participated in several educational workshops and took part in a morning of service around Atlanta. Some other activities included, working in classrooms and cleaning up parks. There was also the opportunity to tour landmarks such a Coca-Cola, CNN, and the Martin Luther King Jr. visitor center.
