Meet and Greet

Warrensburg is holding a meet and greet for residents to meet and mingle with the City's Fire Chief candidates Wednesday.

Toby Keith's great performance at the Missouri State Fair made him a lot of big fans Friday night. But he made a fan out of me for a different reason before the show.

Tonight (Aug. 17) will be one of the craziest nights of Bull Riding. It is The Extreme Bull Riding Competition at The State Fair Arena in the southwest part of the Fairgrounds over by the Sheep Pavilion and FFA Building at 7 p.m. Here are some photos of the guys from their Meet and Greet at Gene's Boots and Hats.  They'll be wrestling with some of the bulls tonight. I was privileged to be able to spend the afternoon with Tyler Farr and his family before his show at The Missouri State Fair. Tyler's dad, Gary Farr, hosted a party at Patricia's for family, friends and guests. It was quite an evening.

Toby Keith is a guy who knows how to take care of himself. The rugged 6'3" performer doesn't seem like one to back down from a fight, but when it comes to his personal security, evidently something has the star spooked enough to take steps to limit the people who have access to him. The 'I Like Girls That Drink Beer' singer has canceled all upcoming personal fan interactions at his concerts,

He's been in 'Roadhouse,' 'Armageddon' and 'The Rock.'  He's appeared in 37 feature films and TV shows including 'Walker: Texas Ranger,' 'Babylon 5' and 'Start Trek: Voyager'.  His name is Marshall Teague and he'll be meeting people and signing autographs during the 'Cabin Fever Sports Show' on February 2 and 3 at the Matthewson Exhibition Center on the Missouri State Fairgrounds.
