Here’s Whose On The 2022 St. Louis & KC Summer Concert Schedule

This summer is going to be a good one for fans of Country, Classic Rock, and '90s music at the outdoor venues in St. Louis and Kansas City. Here's who we know is out on tour and where they're playing this summer:

The Stadium Shows 

Will the third time be a charm for Kenny Chesney's scheduled concert at Arrowhead Stadium? Originally scheduled for the summer of 2020, then the summer of 2021, Chesney's revamped Here and Now Tour is scheduled to roll into Arrowhead Stadium on Saturday, July 2. Saturday, May 7 is the rescheduled date for Chesney's St. Louis date at Busch Stadium. Joining Chesney on tour is Dan + Shay, Carly Pearce, and Old Dominion.

The Stadium Tour staring Motley Crue, Def Leppard, Poison, and Joan Jett and the Blackhearts originally scheduled for August 24, 2021, will roll into Kauffman Stadium on Sunday, July 19, 2022. In St. Louis, the show will roll into Busch Stadium on Tuesday, July 5, 2022.

The Shed Shows 

One of the hallmarks for many of us who grew up in the Midwest was hitting a show at one of the outdoor venues. In St. Louis that would be Hollywood Casino Amphitheatre. In Kansas City, it would be Starlight or Azura Amphitheater. A lot of artists will be playing shows in both cities.  Azura hasn't announced their concert schedule yet, but the schedule at Starlight and Hollywood Casino Amphitheatre is filling up.

• Tim McGraw: McGraw Tour 2022 with Russell Dickerson and Alexandra Kay. McGraw's only scheduled Missouri appearance so far is Saturday, April 30, at 7:30 CDT at Hollywood Casino Amphitheatre.
• Miranda Lambert & Little Big Town's only scheduled Missouri appearance currently is Friday, May 20, at 7:00 CDT at Hollywood Casino Amphitheatre.
• A St. Louis radio station is holding a rock festival at Hollywood Casino Amphitheatre featuring Papa Roach, Halestorm, and Mammoth WVH on Saturday, May 21, with a 12:00 Noon CDT start.

• REO Speedwagon, Styx, and Loverboy will be playing both St. Louis and Kansas City this summer. They'll play Hollywood Casino Amphitheatre on Friday, June 3 at 6:45 CDT. The Kansas City show at Starlight is scheduled for Tuesday, June 14 at 6:45 CDT, gates will open at 6:00 PM CDT.
• Chicago and Brian Wilson with Al Jardine & Blondie Chaplin are playing both St. Louis and Kansas City. The Hollywood Casino Amphitheatre show is Saturday, June 18 at 7:00 PM CDT. The Starlight show is Monday, June 20 at 7:30 PM CDT, gates open at 6:30 PM CDT.

• Matchbox 20 will play Hollywood Casino Amphitheatre in St. Louis on Sunday, June 19 at 7:30 PM CDT. And Starlight in Kansas City on Tuesday, June 21 at 7:30 PM CDT, gates at 6:00 PM CDT.
• Barenaked Ladies, along with Gin Blossoms and Toad the Wet Sprocket will play a Kansas City show at Starlight Wednesday, June 29 at 7:30 CDT, with gates at 6:00 PM CDT.
• Santana and Earth Wind and Fire will play St. Louis at Hollywood Casino Amphitheatre on Friday, July 1, at 7:00 PM CDT.

• The Backstreet Boys DNA World Tour plays Hollywood Casino Amphitheatre in St. Louis on Saturday, July 30 at 7:30 PM CDT.
• Goo Goo Dolls are playing Starlight in Kansas City with Blue October on Monday, August 1, 7:00 PM CDT showtime, gates open at 6:00 PM. The Goo Goo Dolls play St. Louis Music Park on Friday, July 29.
• David Gray plays Starlight in Kansas City on Sunday, August 7, at 8:00 PM CDT, gates at 7:00 PM CDT.  Gray plays St. Louis Music Park on Tuesday, July 19.
• The Zac Brown Band plays St. Louis at Hollywood Casino Amphitheatre in St. Louis on Friday, August 12 at 7:00 PM CDT.

• Keith Urban and Ingrid Andress will play Hollywood Casino Amphitheatre on Friday, August 19 at 7:00 PM CDT.
• Alicia Keys plays Starlight on Wednesday, August 24, at 8:00 PM CDT, gates at 7:00 PM CDT. Keys also plays St. Louis Music Park on Sunday, August 21.
• Morgan Wallen: The Dangerous Tour plays St. Louis at Hollywood Casino Amphitheatre on Saturday, August 27 at 7:00 PM CDT. (He plays T-Mobile Center in Kansas City on Saturday, April 30 at 7:00 PM CDT.)
• Jack White plays Starlight on Monday, August 29, 8:00 PM CDT, with gates at 6:30 PM CDT. White plays St. Louis Music Park, the night before on Sunday, August 28.

It's an impressive list of summer shows that have been scheduled, especially for mid-January. And there are more to come. Shows at Ozarks Amphitheater in Camdenton. The Missouri State Fair Shows. Not to mention shows in Columbia and other local festivals and concerts.
