If you're looking for a sweet way to beat the July heat, mark your calendar for Saturday, July 19. From 4 to 7 p.m., Longwood Presbyterian Church is hosting its beloved annual Ice Cream Supper at 12340 Longwood Road in Hughesville.

This community tradition is a classic for a reason. Sometimes, the best summer memories are made with a scoop of ice cream in one hand and a slice of cake in the other. And for those who prefer something savory, never fear: hot dogs will be hot off the grill and ready to go.

The Ice Cream Supper is more than just a meal! It’s a time to gather, laugh, catch up with neighbors, and enjoy the slower pace of summer. Whether you’ve been coming for years or this is your first time, everyone is welcome at the table.

Proceeds help support the ongoing work and outreach of Longwood Presbyterian Church, but the event itself is all about community.....something there’s never too much of. Bring your family, bring a friend, or just bring your appetite. Come for the food, stay for the fellowship, and leave with a full heart (and maybe a second helping of cake).
