The Sacred Heart boys golf team absolutely showed up Thursday in Warrensburg at Mulls National to compete in the conference tournament.

As a team, they came in second place with several impressive rounds and showed lots of improvement later in the day.  Thomas Jenkins shot a 123 and improved five strokes on the back nine (64, 59).

Spencer Aeschbacher shot a personal-best 120 and was also able to drop six strokes on the back nine (63, 57). Zander Jackson, additionally, set a personal best of 88 and shot six strokes better on his back nine (47, 41).  Eli Smeltzer also carded a personal best of 99.

Leading the way for the Gremlins, Luke Jenkins started the day going six over after the first through three holes. Luke kicked it in and grinded it out to finish the day 9 over for a 79 and, for the second straight year earned himself the conference champion title.

Way to show up boys, proud of everyone of you!


 

The Sacred Heart boys golf team traveled to Marshall on Wednesday for the Marshal Quad. Overall the boys finished third however, showed improvement by posting their best score of the season so far with a 195. Leading the way for the Gremlins was Luke Jenkins who tied for fourth with a 7 over par.
