Everyone here in our area is familiar with the Sedalia Senior Center down at 312 S. Washington. The Sedalia Senior Center is looking for volunteers! It can be a little hard to figure out what you can do help.   That's why the Senior Center is reaching out to let people know what they need, and then you can fill in the blanks with your skills and availability.   They currently have needs in the following areas:

Home Meal Delivery Drivers  Mon-Fri 10am-1pm

Delivery of hot and frozen lunches and dinners to  homebound members.

Center Receptionist  Mon-Fri 8am-2pm

Answering center phone (5 line transfer), checking members in for daily meals, maintain till to make change for lunch payments, counting down till at days end for Center deposit.

Dining Room & Beverage Bar  Mon-Fri 8am-2pm

Preparing coffee, stock ice, keep beverage bar clean and organized, wipe down tables, assist members with lunch trays if needed.

Party or Dance attendants:

Group of 2-6 people to help plan, decorate, arrange for food/potluck meals, paper products, etc, for the monthly birthday parties at the Center or community dances held at Convention Hall, Liberty Park.

I got to talk in a little more detail about the need with  Julie Day of the Senior Center.

If you want to find out more, you can go to their website or you can call 660-826-0713.

Voluntarily yours,
Behka
