Sedalia’s Lighting Contest Winners Announced for 2017

Xi Beta Upsilon, a chapter of Beta Sigma Phi, with the assistance
of the Mayor and the City Council have announced the winners of the City’s 37th annual outdoor Christmas Light Contest.

First place goes to Dan Harris at 118 E. 20th. Second place goes to Jim and Linda Cruzan, 1200 S. Marvin, and third place goes to Katie Reed, 3309 S. Stewart.

A total of 10 entries were submitted in this year's residential contest.

Other entries included Pam and Tiffani Youtzy, 1436 S. Sneed; Judie Hackworth, 1301 W. 3rd; John Hoffmann, 809 La Grand; Michael Gertz, 2010 S. Harrison; Katie Wurtz, 703 Katy Circle; Frank Arndt, 801 E. 7th; and DeWayne Duncan, 2705 Station Ave.

New this year is a business category. First place went to Inter-State Studio, 3500 Snyder Ave., and second place went to American College of Hair Design, 125 Winchester Drive.
