Sedalia Senior Center To Host Free Tax Benefits Program

Care Connection for Aging Services will offer a free program on May 15 in Sedalia to help emphasize the benefits available to help seniors stretch their household budgets

A press release from Care Connection says the program begins at 1:00 p.m. at the Sedalia Senior Center, located at 312 S. Washington.

Benefits Counselor Penny Humphrey will explain Care Connection’s Benefits Enrollment Center, which offers seniors screenings and enrollment assistance in many money-savings programs, according to the press release.

Care Connection says Humphrey’s presentation will include a brief summary of the benefits and an opportunity for people to test their knowledge by spinning a wheel and answering questions for prizes.

“We want to make the whole process fun for everyone, too,” Humphrey said.
