Edwards Man Injured in Benton County Rollover

An Edwards man was injured in a one-vehicle accident that occurred Sunday morning in Benton County.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol, a northbound 2000 GMC truck was on Route M, south of McKenna Villa Road around 9 a.m., when the truck ran off the right side of the roadway. The driver overcorrected and the truck ran off the left side of the roadway, struck two road signs and overturned, coming to rest on its top.

The driver, 52-year-old David J. Perryman of Edwards, suffered moderate injuries and was flown to University of Missouri at Columbia by MU Air for treatment.

The GMC was totaled and towed by Tolliver's.
