Pettis County Republican Chair Carla Young has scheduled the 2024 Pettis County Presidential Caucus for 10 a.m. Saturday, March 2, at the Missouri Electric Cooperative Building on the Missouri State Fairgrounds in Sedalia (across from the grandstand).

Young noted that late entries to the caucus are not permitted, so please plan to arrive with enough time to check-in. To speed up entry, Young suggests that everyone preregister at https://caucus.missouri.gop/signup .  “Pre Registration is not absolutely necessary, but it will be a big help in connection with your participation," she said.

How do I participate in the caucus?
Are you a registered voter? You must be a registered voter in the State of Missouri, in the County in which you wish to caucus. This information can be verified with the Secretary of State’s Office here, or through your local county clerk. You must be a registered voter by Feb. 19 in order to participate in the caucus.

When and where is your local caucus?

All counties will be caucusing at 10 a.m. March 2. You can ask your local County Republican Party for the location. If you can’t find the information through them, ask the Missouri Republican Party Headquarters at (573) 606-0402, and they can connect you with the information you need.

Do you have a valid, government-issued, photo ID?

As with any election process, you will need to show a valid, unexpired, government-issued Photo ID at the door before entering the Caucus.

I have what I need, but what is a caucus?

The Caucus replaces the normal Presidential Primary, and is how the Missouri Republican Party sends Delegates and Alternates to the Republican National Convention. The caucus is how you, as a voter, will make your voice heard in the nomination process for President of the United States and Vice President of the United States.
