Need A Sudsy Hand? Get Some Help With Your Laundry
I know I've fought a few times over the years with the laundry.
You leave a tissue in a pocket, and it disintegrates in the wash. You leave one dark item in with your whites, and it ruins stuff. And loose change in your pocket? It rattles around in the dryer. Sometimes I forget to put clean clothes in the dryer, so you have to wash them again. It took ages to remember where the detergent, fabric softener, or bleach goes. I'm great at putting them in the wrong compartment.
But these are kind of first-world problems, because I have a working washing machine and a dryer right there in my kitchen, for me to use anytime. Not everybody has that. Sometimes you have to go to the laundromat, sometimes you have to go to a friend's house, sometimes you have to rely on Febreze and a prayer.
There's a little respite for you from all those quarters, at least for a couple days.
YEP, you read that right! New Hope Baptist Church has rented out the goods and they're ready to go! Free showers, free washer and dryer, they'll give you a ride, and you get some lunch as well! It'll be Thursday and Friday, so if you're stuck elsewhere, don't worry, you've got a bit of time.
I'm pretty sure you have to bring your own laundry detergent, dryer sheets, and all that good stuff, but you would have probably been bringing those with you to the laundromat anyway. Now you can just save a few quarters for next time!
Washingly yours,
Behka
