Ever feel like you have too much on your plate and your tired of it?

At some point in our lives, we as adults, reaching a breaking point at our workplace. We feel like the job that we perform has so many additional duties added on that we get to that place where we throw up our arms and wonder if it's ever going to end?

Well, yes it can and it will. You see for many of us we carry the idea around in our heads that we are overworked and underappreciated. Can I get an amen on that one, brothers and sisters!

I worked at a previous job, and it seemed they wanted to pile on more duties but they weren't willing to compensate for the extra load. You were never appreciated and when you did a good job it went unnoticed, but when you made a mistake they didn't waste any time to throw you under the bus.

Now forward to present day. Like most we all have stressors. Home life, workplace, and every thing else in-between. But how we handle those curveballs is how we survive and get through each day, each week.

If you're getting into work on this Monday, and all of sudden you feel overloaded with emails, various work-related requests, and your "normal" day-to-day duties and you've only been at your place of employment for less than an hour, take a moment. Take a breath. Step back and look at the big picture.

Are you getting a regular paycheck? Are you normally happy with what you do at your workplace. Do you enjoy the people that surround you? If the answer is yes, then push on. If not, take some time and see if it's time for a change.

You need to remember that you should enjoy what you do for a living but there's a reason why it's called work. You have to put in extra effort to make sure a job that you perform is accomplished. Some days it's a piece of cake, and some days as hard as you may try, you can't find enough of the needed ingredients or find enough hours in the day to finish that three-layered monstrosity.

Stop. Breathe in. Breath out. You've got this!
