With the wake of the protests and rioting across the United States, we've seen more instances of citizens, and possibly non-citizens, of the U.S. desecrating the American flag. As a veteran of the United States Air Force, this not only makes me mad but also sad.

If you were witnessing someone burning or walking on the American flag, what do you think you would do?

For me it's a no brainer...I would walk over to the person/persons that was walking on the flag and remove it from them. If they were burning it, I would make the effort to put it out and remove the flag from that person/persons.

Protesting is one thing, desecrating the U.S. flag is another. I served in the military. I have a deep honor and respect for the U.S. flag, and I will go on to say that I believe the men and women that have served in the military feel the same way

Back in March of 2018, unfortunately during the '17 Minutes of Silence' that was being observed in schools across the country, a video surfaced on the internet showing a group of students from Antioch High School, a metro school in Nashville, Tennesse, tearing down the American flag.

I imagine everyone has seen some type of film footage of this happening on the internet or on the news channels. I'm sure the idea of it happening has made many of us wonder what would happen if it occurred in our presence.

What would you do?
