Good Ol’ Charlie Brown
As a child growing up in the 60's and early 70's, the Charlie Brown TV specials were just that...special. They etched memories and opened our imaginations. It was Dolly Madison Cakes sponsoring a half-hour of excitement. We didn't have the availability like the kids of today have with the internet and YouTube. It was a magical time when Halloween and Christmas rolled around because we knew we could count on ol' Snoopy heading out to the wild blue yonder to take on his nemesis, The Red Baron. We would sing along to the songs we would come to learn, and cherish and repeat the words and phrases that Charlie Brown would utter under his breath.
As Charlie Brown and Snoopy are perhaps best known for their classic holiday special ‘A Charlie Brown Christmas,’ it only makes sense that the new ‘Peanuts’ trailer debuts with a very Christmas-y feel. You have to wait until next Christmas to see the CGI ‘Peanuts’ movie, but you can get a taste of what it will look and feel like with this new trailer.
