Well guys, it's offically Cyber Monday, which means it's after Thanksgiving, and Black Friday is also behind us. What's next? Giving Tuesday!

Tomorrow is "Giving Tuesday," where we're encouraged to give back to our community.

This is after Thanksgiving, when we give to our in-laws.... Black Friday, when we give to huge mega-chains, Small Business Saturday, when we give to family businesses....and Cyber Monday, when we shop online, just like the other 364 days of the year.

A new poll asked people if they planned to donate to charity to celebrate Giving Tuesday, and 22% said YES, 43% said no, and 35% said they were not sure.  For what it's worth, people under the age of 45 are much more likely to give than those 45 and older.

You might think, "Oh, that's all well and good, but... how can I help? I don't even know where to start!"  Well, why not start right here in Pettis County?

The Open Door Service Center is starting something big, after all.

We’ve set a goal of raising $5000 in just 24 hours! What can you do? Donate via this link www.opendoorservicecenter.org/donate-today/ on November 28th. We can only accomplish this goal if everyone joins in, your donations will make an incredible impact on our mission. Let's do it!

And, if you'd rather donate your time rather than money, why not check out the latest Salvation Army Bell Ringing campaign.  They just put out a call for volunteers, you can read more about it here.

How will you give back this year? Will you volunteer? Donate money? Donate goods or services? What are you most appreciative for this year?

Givingly yours,
Behka

LOOK: The top holiday toys from the year you were born

With the holiday spirit in the air, it’s the perfect time to dive into the history of iconic holiday gifts. Using national toy archives and data curated by The Strong from 1920 to today, Stacker searched for products that caught hold of the public zeitgeist through novelty, innovation, kitsch, quirk, or simply great timing, and then rocketed to success.
