It's October, and that means you're gonna see pumpkins everywhere. I don't mind it.  I don't like pumpkin spice everything, but I do enjoy fall.  So when I saw this event coming up, it seemed appropriate to let you know.

The first ever Great Pumpkin Walk will be on Friday, October 26.  What's a pumpkin walk? I don't know! I guess you walk with a pumpkin? I do know that you bring a carved pumpkin to the Missouri Veterans Home between October 24 at 8:00 a.m. until noon on Friday the 26th.

The point is, you bring in a pumpkin, and it makes a veteran smile.  Isn't that worth the whole process? I wanna see some elaborate carving, I bet that would be cool.  I am useless with that kind of stuff, though.  I end up either ruining the carving or cutting myself.

So I guess it's up to you!  Actual talented people, or non talented people who tried their best, are all welcome.   If you want more information, you can call Melissa at 660-429-4648 or email Melissa.Terry@mvc.dps.mo.gov.

Happy Carving!

Pumpkinly yours,
Behka
