We hear them in conversation and our first response is, " You've got to be kidding...really, that's a law?" Where did these dumb laws come from, anyway?

We not only have dumb state laws still are on the books but also City laws that are still out there.

According to the website, www.dumblaws.com...

In Missouri-

*** A law that was enacted in 1820...Any single man must pay an annual tax of one dollar if you're between  twenty one and fifty years of age.

*** It is illegal to speed.

Across the state, different towns/cities have their own share of these laws-

In Columbia-

*** Between 2:00 a.m. and 6:00 a.m., one may not drink in a bar.

*** Though clotheslines are banned, clothes may be draped over a fence.

*** You can have a 25 foot satellite on your property but you cannot have an antenna exposed outside of your house.

In Kansas City-

*** Minors can freely buy shotguns but they cannot buy cap guns.

*** Installation of bathtubs with four legs resembling animal paws is prohibited.

And last but not least, we're not really sure of the explanation behind this law...

In St. Louis-

A milk man may not run while on duty.
